Accessibility statement
At the Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa, we aim to offer the highest level of hospitality to all our guests, regardless of any permanent or temporary disability, medical condition, or other specific requirements. This access statement is designed to give you the information you need to access how effectively we can meet your hands.
PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
The hotel is located 1.5 miles from Rishton Railway Station and there is a bus stop outside the main driveway of the hotel. The walk up the drive is level leading in to the hotel, no more than a 2 minute walk, further directions can be found on the website. If you require a taxi this can be booked directly with the hotel prior to your arrival, please advise on any requirements you may need at the time of booking.
ARRIVAL
Accessible car parking spaces are available outside the front of the hotel and close to the Spa entrance. The main car park is well lit during the evening and night time. Access to the main hotel is on ground level with no ramp or steps. Our reception desk is on the Left hand Side as you enter the hotel. We can offer luggage assistance if required, and the hotel has a wheelchair on site.
PUBLIC AREAS
Our Cameo Restaurant and Bar are situated on ground level to the left of reception. The public toilets are also situated on the way to the Restaurant, with the accessible facilities to the right of the main reception. Doorways are wheelchair accessible, and the Bar and Restaurant seating arrangements can be altered to suit requirements. The hotel has outdoor seating accessed through the Cameo Bar or Main Car Park, with additional outdoor seating in front of the Spa, again accessed through Main Car Park.
Our Leisure Facilities Including the Swimming Pool are all on ground level, with accessible changing facilities, and additional accessible toilets in the Spa Lounge. We have a fully equipped gym, access to this is via our rear car park, as are the Beauty Treatment rooms.
ACCOMMODATION
We have 4 areas in which our Bedrooms are located, the main block is a minute walk from reception, all on Ground Floor Level. In this block there is a lift to the 1 st and 2 nd floors,. The hotel has 3 specifically designed accessible bedrooms, with walk in wet rooms. These rooms all have interconnecting should they be required for careers. Bedrooms are carpeted whilst the bathrooms are tiled. If you have specific needs please alert our reservations team prior to your arrival. Rooms do not have fridges but we can provide on request or store medicines, again please make this request prior to arrival.
GENERAL
All information such as menus, hotel information, and tariffs can be printed in larger fonts on request. Service dogs are accepted at the hotel by prior arrangement.
